We are proud to be able to show this beautiful late 17th century Italian violin by Christopharus Bittig. With only a cello in a museum in Vienna and another violin in a collection in Berlin, this violin is one of only three instruments known to exist by this maker. Therefore this is a very rare opportunity to see and play something so unusual. However the quality of the violin and the workmanship simply speaks for itself.
The violin has been comprehensibly restored in our workshops and is presented in stunning condition with a lovely warm, even sound. It comes with a certificate of authenticity from the renowned London specialist Andreas Woywod.
Please feel free to contact us at any time to make enquiries about the violin or feel free to pop in to take the opportunity to put a bow across it.
