Chased Gold mounted English violin bow by James Tubbs, London, circa 1890

This beautiful bow, which has a round stick and weighs 64.3g is branded “Flechter New York”

Victor Flechter was a New York dealer, wrongly accused of stealing the 1725 ‘Duke of Cambridge’ Stradivarius violin.

This bow was reportedly the property of the violinist Josef Suk, Prague 1929-2011.
